Mobile Clean Truck Check: the tester comes to you
A mobile Clean Truck Check means the tester drives to your truck instead of your truck driving to a test site. Diesel Dynamix offers mobile CARB testing in California's southern counties, with an on-site Clean Truck Check at your location, wherever your trucks already park.
We test on site at:
- Your yard or shop lot
- Jobsites, for a Clean Truck Check at the jobsite between loads
- Terminals and ports, including the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach
- Your home, for a Clean Truck Check at home for owner-operators and motorhome owners
Every visit covers the test your truck needs. We do mobile OBD testing for trucks with 2013 and newer diesel or 2018 and newer alternative-fuel engines, and a mobile smoke test with visual inspection for older diesel trucks without OBD.
This is mobile truck emissions testing built around work. A truck tested in your yard can be back on the road the same day without the extra miles or a wait in line. If you want to know what a visit looks like step by step, see how testing works.
Clean Truck Check near me: where to get it done
If you are searching for Clean Truck Check near me, the closest testing location may be your own yard. Clean Truck Check testing locations are not limited to fixed shops or a test station. A mobile tester can bring the test to wherever your truck is in our service area.
That makes the question of where to get Clean Truck Check done much simpler. Tell us the address and how many trucks are there, and we plan the visit.
We drive to:
- Los Angeles and Long Beach
- Orange County
- The Inland Empire, including Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga and Rialto
- San Diego
- El Centro and the Imperial Valley
- The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach
Industrial areas and neighborhoods across these counties are all fair game. If your trucks move between sites, we can test them where they are on the day of the visit.
See every city on our service areas page, or book online and tell us where your trucks will be.
Mobile emissions testing for fleets and early starts
Mobile emissions testing for fleets saves the most time, because one visit can cover many trucks at the same stop. Instead of sending trucks out one by one, we line them up in your yard and test them in turn.
Fleet-friendly options include:
- Early-morning visits, so trucks are tested before they roll out for the day
- Recurring visits that line up with each round of testing, since most covered vehicles test twice a year today
- Per-truck pricing for fleets, based on truck count, test type and location
- Records kept per truck and VIN, so you know where every vehicle stands
- Reminders before each next due date
The same service works for small carriers and owner-operators. One truck is welcome.
If a truck fails, we explain the likely cause in plain English, such as a check engine light, readiness monitors that are not set or a DPF fault, so your mechanic knows where to start. We do not do repairs, but we come back for the retest. Read more about fleet testing.
Why the right tester and equipment matter
A Clean Truck Check result only counts when the test is done the way CARB requires. That means a Clean Truck Check credentialed tester using CARB-verified equipment, not a generic scan tool or a quick look at the exhaust.
For OBD-equipped trucks, the CARB-verified OBD test reads the engine's emissions data, including fault codes and readiness monitors. For older diesel trucks, the smoke opacity test measures smoke and the visual inspection checks that emissions equipment is in place. Older alternative-fuel trucks without OBD get a visual inspection.
What you get from our truck emissions testing services after each test:
- The result, explained in plain English
- The next due date for that truck
- Help with CTC-VIS questions if something looks off
We are an independent testing service, not CARB or a government agency. We will never help with DPF deletes or tampered equipment. Deleted and tampered systems fail, and they are illegal.
Not sure which test you need? Send us the engine model year or VIN and we will tell you.
