Fleet Clean Truck Check testing in one visit
Fleet Clean Truck Check testing works best when the tester comes to the trucks. Diesel Dynamix does on-site fleet emissions testing at your yard, terminal or jobsite, so drivers stay on their routes instead of lining up at a test site.
One visit can cover a lot of trucks and every test type a mixed fleet needs:
- CARB OBD tests for 2013 and newer diesel and 2018 and newer alternative-fuel engines
- Smoke opacity tests plus visual inspections for 2012 and older diesel without OBD
- Visual inspections for 2017 and older alternative-fuel trucks without OBD
We work around dispatch. Early-morning visits let trucks test before they leave the yard, and we can rotate trucks as they come back in.
For bulk truck emissions testing, pricing is per truck and depends on how many trucks we test, the test types and the locations. If your trucks sit in several yards across Los Angeles, the Inland Empire or San Diego, tell us and we will plan the route. Quotes are by phone or WhatsApp at (858) 342-8328.
Reminders, compliance tracking and records per VIN
The hard part of carb compliance for fleets is not the test. It is keeping track of a different deadline for every truck. We help with that.
Due-date reminders. After each test we give you the truck's next due date, and our Clean Truck Check reminder service lets you know before the window comes up, so nothing slips.
Records per truck. We keep a compliance record per VIN with the test date, test type and result. When you need to look up a truck, or answer questions during a CARB fleet audit, the history is in one place.
A fleet compliance calendar. With every truck's due date in one list, we can group trucks with nearby deadlines into the same recurring visit. That means fewer visits and fewer surprises.
How to track Clean Truck Check deadlines for a fleet: start with CTC-VIS, where each truck's deadlines live, then keep one list by VIN with the next due date and the last result. We build that list as we test.
CARB sets the official recordkeeping rules, so check CARB's rules for your fleet type.
Fleets we test: construction, refuse, buses, ag and more
If a vehicle is over 14,000 lb GVWR, runs on diesel or alternative fuel and operates in California, it likely needs Clean Truck Check. That covers far more than long-haul tractors.
We test fleets such as:
- Construction: dump trucks, concrete mixers, water trucks
- Waste haulers: refuse trucks and roll-offs
- Buses: school buses, transit buses and charter buses over 14,000 lb, where they fall under the program
- Agriculture: farm and ag trucks
- Service fleets: tow trucks, landscaping trucks and utility trucks
- Distribution: food distribution, moving company and rental truck fleets
- Dealers: truck dealers and used truck lots that need trucks tested before sale or delivery
Yard trucks and terminal tractors are an edge case. Check CARB's rules for your vehicle; if they are covered, we test them at the terminal or port.
Whatever the fleet, the visit is the same: we come to you, test each truck and give you the results and next due dates.
Owner-operators and small carriers
Owner-operator Clean Truck Check is the same service with no fleet minimum. If you run one truck, we come to where it parks, whether that is a yard, a lot or your home.
Small carriers get the same tools larger fleets use. We give you the next due date after every test, send reminders, and keep a record for each VIN, so you do not need a compliance department to stay on track.
If you lease on to a larger carrier, sort out with them who handles CTC-VIS reporting and testing, because each truck still needs to be reported, have CARB's annual fee paid and pass its test.
If something goes wrong, we explain it in plain English. A failed test usually means a check engine light, readiness monitors that are not set, a DPF or emissions fault, or tampered equipment. The truck goes to your mechanic, then we retest.
